My wife and I were in Chicago last week. During our time there we looked at a lot of art. The very best stuff we saw was a show of paintings by Amy Casey at the Zg gallery. Her work isn't abstract, and it isn't geometric, but I love it just the same. If you want a taste, here's a great little video from a few years ago with lots of images. It's part of a series of art-related videos produced by KQED in San Francisco, and there are dozens more. I think I'll be checking them out as I find time.
